A neighborhood with history
Mission Bend began its rapid residential development in the late 1970s and 1980s as Houston’s suburban expansion pushed west across the Harris County and Fort Bend County lines. What started as prairies and farmland quickly grew into a vast network of master-planned subdivisions. Established in 1979, the San Miguel Civic Association was one of the early residential communities built during this initial boom, helping lay the foundation for today's established neighborhood character.

A short drive east along Bellaire Boulevard leads into the vibrant Asiatown and Chinatown corridors, while major regional shopping and dining destinations—such as First Colony Mall in Sugar Land, CityCentre, and Katy Mills—are all easily accessible via Highway 6 and the Westpark Tollway.
Getting around
Commuters benefit from direct access to key West Houston thoroughfares. Highway 6 serves as the primary north-south artery, connecting residents north to I-10 and south to US-59/I-69 in Sugar Land. For east-west traffic, Beechnut Street and Bellaire Boulevard offer direct surface routes toward Beltway 8, while the Westpark Tollway provides a fast toll route directly into the Energy Corridor, Galleria area, and Downtown Houston.
