Pool Registration

If you are a new homeowner or resident of SMCA and wish to use the pool, please contact Jodi Rohr at jodi@propertymastershouston.com or call 281-556-5111 X100. The SMCA pool is for SMCA members in good standing only and you will need to register and pay a small, one-time fee in order to use it. Pool ID is required. If you currently have an ID card you do not need to register or purchase another.

Everyone 9 years or older must have a Pool ID if planning to attend the pool without their parents. If you or your tenant will be registering you must provide proof of residency (for example a utility bill, current lease, drivers license.) Only family members that reside at this address can register for Pool IDs. The falsifying of any registration information will result in the loss of family pool privileges.

Pool Rules

Please remember that the lifeguards are employed to ensure the safety of the swimmers and to maintain orderly use of the pool. They have the authority to expel from the pool area anyone violating the rules or endangering the safety of themselves or other person(s).

• SMCA pool identification cards are required for all swimmers 9 years old or older.
• No pets are allowed inside the pool area.
• Flotation devices are not allowed in the deep end of the pool.
• Flotation devices are allowed only in the larger pool area and at the discretion of the lifeguards. Verify with the lifeguard prior to entering the pool.
• Individuals with bandages (excluding small Band-Aids) are not allowed in the water.
• Do not handle or hold onto the rope separating diving and swimming areas.
• No running, pushing, dunking, or rough-housing.
• Lending of registration tags are prohibited. Residents lending tags will lose their pool privileges.
• Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by a person 18 years of age or older while inside the fenced pool area.
• Parents (not lifeguards) are responsible for children in the small pool. No one over six years of age will be allowed in the small pool.
• No diving is allowed anywhere except for the deep end diving area of the larger pool.
• Proper swim wear required. No cut-offs, no torn T-shirts, no string bikinis and no thong swim wear allowed.
• All glass and breakable containers are prohibited in pool areas.
• No disposable baby diapers are allowed in the water.
• Loud music and loud radios are prohibited (headphones only).
• Loud, abusive, or foul language and/or lewd behavior will not be tolerated.
• Littering of any sort is prohibited. Ashes and cigarette butts must be disposed of in ashtrays.
• All adult homeowners may bring a guest to the pool for free but must be present with their guest at all times. Children who have guests will be charged $1.00 per guest and must fill out the guest log sheet. Children are allowed to bring 2 guests. Families are allowed to bring up to five guests.
• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to swim in the deep end unless accompanied by an adult. The lifeguard may ask to see this done for proof of swimming ability.
• Anyone discovered inside the pool area when it is closed without permission from the Board of Directors will be suspended for the remainder of the season. Violators will have trespassing charges filed against them.
• Swimmers are requested to use only water-soluble suntan preparations. (Cocoa butter and baby oil are not water soluble.)
• There will be a ten-minute adult only (18 years or older) swim period every hour.
• Alcohol is not permitted in the pool area except by arrangements for rentals or special purposes at the direction of the Board of Directors.
• Bicycles are to be placed in the bike rack. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, or roller blades are not permitted inside the pool area.
• All swimmers and persons in the pool area will abide by these rules and those of safety and law propounded by the American Red Cross and Fort Bend County.

Disciplinary action by the aquatic staff, Board of Directors, or management will be enforced for abuse or disregard of the above rules and regulations. Two major violations of the above rules will result in loss of family pool privileges for the remainder of the season.

Regulaciones de la piscina

Por favor recuerde que los guarda-vidas han sido contratados para velar por la seguridad de los bañistas y mantener el uso adecuado de la piscina. Ellos poseen la autoridad para expulsar del área de la piscina a cualquier individuo que viole estas regulaciones y que pongan en peligro la seguridad de otras personas y de ellos mismos.

• Una tarjeta de identificación de la Asociación Cívica San Miguel es indispensable para todos los bañistas mayores de 9 años.
• Ninguna mascota (animal) es permitida en el área de la piscina. Artefactos flotadores no son permitidos en el área más profunda de la piscina.
• Artefactos flotadores son permitidos solamente en la seccion más amplia y a discreción de los guarda-vidas. Consulte al guarda-vidas antes de entrar a la piscina
• Personas con vendajes (excluyendo pequeñas banditas) no son permitidas en el agua
• No manipule ni levante los mecates que separan las areas de buzeo y nado.
• No correr, empujar, lazarse agua, o hacer alharacas.
• Prestar las etiquetas de registro esta prohibido. Los residentes que presten sus etiquetas perderán el privilegio de usar la piscina.
• Niños menores de 8 años deberán ser acompañados por una personas de 18 años de edad o mayor mientras se encuentre dentro del area protegida de la piscina.
• Los padres ( no los guarda-vidas) son responsables por los niños cuando estén usando la piscina pequeña. Ninguna persona mayor de seis años de edad sera permitida en la piscina pequeña.
• Saltos y buceo no es permitido excepto en el área más profunda de la piscina.
• Un adecuado vestido de baño es requerido. Pantalones cortados o playeras rotas, no bikinis estirados con hilos( hilo dental) finos y no se permite el uso de correas de cuero.
• Envases quebrables de vidrio son prohibidos en el área de la piscina.
• Diapers desechables no son permitidos en el agua.
• La música y radios a alto volumen estan prohibidos (audífonos unicamente).
• Palabras vulgares dichas en voz alta, abusivas e indicente comportamiento no seran toleradas.
• Basura de cualquier clase esta prohibido.Colillas y cenizas de cigarillos deberán ser depositas en sus respectivos zeniceros.
• Todos los residentes están autorizados para invitar huéspedes al área de la piscina gratis, pero deben de permanecer con su invitado todo el tiempo. Niños que tengan invitados se les cobrará $1.00 por invitado y deberán llenar una hoja de información. Los niños están autorizados a invitar 2 perspnas. Las familias les esta permitido hasta cinco invitados.
• Los bañista deberan saber nadar para entrar en lo más largo y profundo, y al menos acompañado de un adulto. Los gurda-vidas podrán hacer preguntas para conocer la abilidad de los nadadores.
• Cualquier persona que sea descubierta dentro del área de la piscina cuando esté cerrada sin el debido permiso del Consejo de Directores será suspendido por el resto de la temporada.. Los que infrinjan esta disposición enfrentarán cargos por violacion a la propiedad privada.
• Los bañistas deberán usar solamente bronceadores que sean solubles en el agua. ( Mantequilla de Cocoa or aceite de niños no son solubles en el agua.)
• Personas de 18 años o mayores podrán nadar unicamente por un período de diez minutos cada hora.
• Las bebidas alcohólicas no son permitidas en el área de la piscina, excepto mediante previo arreglo por renta o propísitos especiales con la aprobación de la Junta de Directores.
• Las bicicletas deberán ser colocadas en su rejillas. Bicicletas, patinadores, patinetas y patines con cuchillas, no son permitidas en el area de la picina.
• Todas los bañistas en el área de la piscina deberán observer estas reglas y la ley de seguridad sugeridas por la Cruz Roja Americana y el Condado de Fort Bend.

Acciones disciplinarias por el personal aquático, Junta de Directores, o la gerencia será aplicada por abusos o descuido de las regulaciones arriba señaladas. Dos violaciones mayors de las reglas descritas arriba resultará en pérdida de los privilegios para la familia para el uso de la piscina por el resto de la temporada.
